When someone tells you no can you hear that? Or do you push forward to do or get what you want anyway?
Ignoring the answer when it’s not the one you wanted is a violation of boundaries. Trying to justify why you should get your way is manipulation. Each behavior is very annoying to be on the receiving end of, and if you’re the offender you’re sabotaging your relationship.
You may even think you’re being helpful but it is still a violation of someone’s boundaries to try to help them when they’ve told you not to. You may do more harm than good. You don’t have to agree with their decision but you do need to respect it.
People will like you much better and you’ll get along more effectively if you don’t push your will on them.
